Terms and Conditions

Booking, Payment and Cancellation
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your scheduled arrival date. All amounts are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST at the prevailing rate.

Payment Methods
Payments may be made by credit or debit card, or by internet banking transfer, or International Money Transfer  (IMT).

Card payments attract a surcharge of 3.1% of the transaction amount, added at checkout to cover payment processing costs. This surcharge is non-refundable.

If paying by IMT, all transfer fees and any associated bank charges are the responsibility of the guest. Please ensure the full invoiced amount is received by Bannock Brae Cottage after all fees have been deducted. Our bank account details will be provided on your booking invoice.

Cancellations 30 or more days before check-in
If you cancel 30 or more days before arrival, you will receive a refund of your deposit less 10% of the total booking value, which is retained as a non-refundable administration fee.

Cancellations 14 to 30 days before check-in
If you cancel between 14 and 30 days before arrival, 50% of the total booking value will be refunded. The remaining 50% is non-refundable.

Cancellations within 14 days of check-in
No refund is available for cancellations made within 14 days of your scheduled arrival, including no-shows and early departures. The full booking amount is forfeited.

Re-booking
Where your cancellation falls within a non-refundable window, we will make reasonable efforts to re-book the dates. If the dates are successfully filled, a partial refund will be considered at management's discretion, less any reduction in rate required to secure the replacement booking and less the administration fee.

Balance Payment
If the balance due 30 days before arrival is not received, Bannockbrae Cottage reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled. In this event, the cancellation terms applicable at that time will apply and the deposit will be forfeited in full.

Amendments
Date changes are subject to availability and must be requested in writing. Changes that shorten your stay, or move dates within a non-refundable window, will not reduce the total amount owed.

Travel Insurance
We recommend arranging comprehensive travel insurance to cover trip disruption, medical events, and unforeseen cancellations. Cancellation costs at this property can be significant, and insurance is the most effective way to protect your investment.
